AGM on Wednesday 5th October.
The AGM went well with the new Chair, Helen Burrows presenting her chair’s report. She highlighted the need to raise our profile in the local communities and our work on links with Elmbridge carers, Woking Carers, CAB Walton and IAPT Services . Looking into the future, she and the Trustees will be working towards identifying income generation potentials so that this charity remains successful.
The Treasurer presented the Financial Report and Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2016 which showed positive results. This will strengthen the balance sheet of the charity and enable it to provide a higher level of service to those in need. Additionally, the level of reserves has been maintained throughout the year. I know our volunteers and office staff, will, continue to support Sue and our other trustees moving forward, and I would like to thank you for the wonderful work you do for the charity.
Cathie Smith, recent former Chair of RASASC Guildford, gave an address on the subject of ‘The Perils of ignoring the value of Community’ which was informative and well received.
