Contact Us
Call, email or contact us through our website and we will explain how we work and arrange your Consultation with a senior counsellor. Each consultation costs the charity £120. We ask you to make a donation of £35 to the charity in advance of this session and to complete some information about yourself – basic paperwork beforehand to get most out of the session.
Attend a Consultation
This can be online or in-person in one of our counselling rooms in Walton-on-Thames. You will be able to talk to a senior counsellor about the issues affecting you and what you would like to achieve from counselling. This will ascertain whether counselling is right for you and, if so, will help us allocate you the counsellor who best fits your needs.
You will also be asked how and when you would like to have counselling – we offer weekly sessions Monday – Friday, day time and evening, either in Walton, Woking or online.
Cost
At the end of this consultation, the counsellor will discuss the weekly amount you would be able to donate to the charity whilst you are receiving counselling with us. It costs our charity around £75 to provide each counselling session (the cost of private counselling is usually £60 – £110) so we ask clients to, where possible, donate a minimum of £30 per session.
After your Consultation
We will confirm that you would benefit from counselling, check your availability and match you with the right counsellor for you. The more availability you can give us, the more quickly this happens.
Counselling
We will agree a time and start date with you and arrange for your counselling. Weekly sessions last 50 minutes and take place in Walton-on-Thames, Woking or online. You will have an initial block of 6 sessions and when this ends, your counsellor will discuss with you the option of continuing for up to a year.
We ask clients to let us know if they can’t attend a session and to pay their agreed donation each week, including those they miss for holidays etc, except during that initial 6-week block and – after that – for 2 missed sessions over the course of the year. This may be extended if you explain to us you have extenuating circumstances.
